Home Display

Home Display is a small personal dashboard that runs on a wall-mounted display in a home. It brings the household's everyday information onto one screen so it can be read at a glance.

What it does

• Shows the current temperature, humidity and heating or cooling status reported by a smart thermostat.
• Lets the household adjust the thermostat target temperature from the display.
• Sits alongside other household information such as lighting, weather and a photo slideshow.

Thermostat access

To show thermostat information the app connects to the Google Nest thermostat in the same household, using Google's Smart Device Management API. Access is requested only for the thermostat devices the household owner chooses to share. The app is a private, single-household tool and is not offered to the public.
